Falcon is a developer-focused PrestaShop starter theme built with modern front-end tooling. It is designed to serve as a solid, maintainable foundation for building enterprise-level custom PrestaShop themes. The author explicitly notes that it is made for developers — merchants looking for a ready-to-use storefront should not install it directly.

Falcon replaces the dated toolchain of the classic PrestaShop theme with a modern stack:

  • Webpack 5 with a fully configured dev server including Hot Module Replacement (HMR) — changes to templates and module assets trigger automatic page reloads without manual refreshing
  • Bootstrap updated to 4.6 with backwards compatibility, replacing the older alpha version in the classic theme
  • Companion module is_themecore provides JSON-LD structured data (WebPage, Product, Organization, BreadcrumbList), OpenGraph, and Twitter Card support, plus missing breadcrumbs for cart, 404, stores, and sitemap pages
  • WebP image support with Nginx configuration option, lazy loading for below-the-fold images, and per-view Webpack entry points (theme, product, checkout, listing) for optimized asset delivery
  • Modified image slider supporting separate uploads for mobile and desktop images

Falcon is the right choice for PrestaShop developers and agencies who need a well-structured, up-to-date starter theme with a professional development workflow. It is licensed under GPL-3.0 and actively maintained.
