OptiPic is a CDN-based image optimization module for PrestaShop that automatically converts PNG and JPEG images to WebP format, addressing the Google PageSpeed Insights recommendation to serve images in next-generation formats. The conversion and compression process runs in the background via the OptiPic CDN, so page load times are not affected — if an optimized version isn't ready yet, the original image is served transparently.
