Calcul de tonnage

This module solves a specific practical problem for stores selling bulk materials such as gravel or aggregates: customers need to know how much product to order based on the area they want to cover and the desired layer thickness. The Tonnage Calculator adds a dedicated calculation tool directly on product pages, eliminating guesswork and reducing returns or under-ordering.

• Product page button: Displays a "Calculate Tonnage" button on relevant product pages, giving customers instant access to the tool.
• Modal-based input form: Opens a modal window where the customer enters the surface area and desired thickness to get an immediate tonnage estimate.
• Automatic calculation: Computes the required weight using the formula: density × surface × thickness, based on the density value stored in a product feature.
• Simple configuration: The back-office settings let you select which product feature holds the density value, making it easy to connect the module to your existing product catalogue.

This module is purpose-built for shops selling gravel, sand, topsoil, or any other bulk material sold by weight. It requires that product density values be set up as a PrestaShop product feature, and the calculation button will only appear for products that have this feature assigned.
