Virtual Product Info is a PrestaShop module designed exclusively for virtual (downloadable) products. It automatically analyzes the downloadable file attached to a product and displays technical details about it directly on the product page, giving customers useful information before they purchase.
- Displays the file extension and size for all supported file types
- For image files (BMP, PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF), shows the pixel dimensions of the image
- For plain text files (TXT), shows the line count and word count
- For ZIP archives, lists every file contained within the archive along with each file's compressed and uncompressed size
This module is best suited for store owners selling digital downloads such as documents, images, or bundled file packages, where buyers benefit from knowing exactly what they are getting before completing a purchase. Note that ZIP files are unpacked to a temporary directory each time the product page is loaded, which may increase disk usage and slow page load times for large archives. A 7-day free trial is available; a paid license is required after the trial period ends.
