European VAT number

The European VAT Number module enables customers to enter their intra-community VAT number during address creation in a PrestaShop store. This is particularly useful for B2B merchants serving European business customers who need to provide their VAT identification for tax purposes. To enter a VAT number, the customer must also fill in the company field.

• Adds a VAT number input field to the address creation form
• Requires the company field to be completed before the VAT number field becomes available
• Open-source under the AFL-3.0 license, allowing community forks and modifications

This module is aimed at PrestaShop merchants operating in Europe who sell to business customers and need to collect VAT numbers at checkout. It was originally developed by PrestaShop but has since been archived. Active maintenance has been taken over by the Friends of Presta association, whose maintained fork is available separately on GitHub.
